Use the Property inspector to specify the size of selected frames. In addition to entering a size, you can determine how browsers allocate space to frames when there is not enough room to display all frames at full size.
To specify the size of a frame:
1 | Click a frame border to select the frameset. |
Choose View > Frame Borders if the borders aren't visible. You can drag a frame border in the Document window to set an approximate size. | |
2 | In the Property inspector, click the expander arrow to view all properties |
3 | Click the tab above a column or to the left of a row to select what you want to change.

4 | To specify how space is allocated when the browser window is resized, enter a number in the Value box and choose from the following Units control options: |
![]() |
Pixels fix the size of the selected column or row to the number of pixels you enter. This option is the best choice for a navigation bar that should always be the same size. If you set another Units option for columns or rows, they are allocated space only after rows or columns specified in pixels are their full size. |

Percent specifies that the current column or row should take up a specified percentage of its frameset. Columns or rows specified with units set to Percent are allocated space before columns or rows with units set to Relative. |
![]() |
Relative specifies that the current column or row be allocated space using the current proportions relative to the other columns and rows. Columns or rows with units set to Relative are allocated space after columns or rows with units set to Pixels and Percent, but they take up all remaining space. |
